My South Pacific Island Hopping Itinerary.

As you’ll know if you read my recent post, I’m leaving Australia very soon. Before I head back to the Northern Hemisphere I wanted to tick off a few places in the Southern Hemisphere that are on my bucket list, with one of the main ones being a mini island-hop around the South Pacific! Next weekend Laura and I will be flying from Sydney to Vanuatu to begin our adventure. So, let me tell you all about it!
South Pacific Island Hopping Itinerary

Two Nights in Vanuatu

Our first stop is Vanuatu, a stunning volcanic island that is all about relaxation, beaches, swimming, and waterfalls. We’re staying at Warwick le Lagon, and with one full day we’re hoping to do a mix of seeing the island and the beautiful Mele Cascades and blue lagoon, chilling out and relaxing at the hotel, and exploring the main city of Port Vila!

Two Nights in Fiji

Our main reason for visiting Fiji is to experience the ultra-luxe Royal Davui Island Resort. Due to the flight times from Vanuatu and the transfer times from Nadi airport to Royal Davui, we’re staying in a Novotel airport hotel (oh the glamour!) for the first night as our flight lands at 9pm and our transfer to Royal Davui is at 9am the next day from Nadi airport. But then we’ll be spending our second night at Royal Davui, one of the most luxurious resorts in the whole of Fiji!

Three Nights in Samoa

Samoa came highly recommended to me by my housemate, who has travelled the South Pacific extensively with work. There aren’t many hotels or resorts on the island/s, but after my surprisingly incredible stay at the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel last year, we’re staying at the Sheraton Beach Resort for three nights. With our two full days we’re planning on having a day to chill out and relax, and a day of driving around the island to see the Ta Sua Ocean Trench, Robert Louis Stevenson’s house/museum, and the main city of Apia. We’re also planning to have a night out in Apia one night as they have a plethora of bars and clubs! (and hello, how many people can say “I’ve been clubbing in Samoa” haha!)After Samoa we’re flying back to Sydney, and after a few days I’m then flying on to Perth for a weekend before I get on a plane to London!

If any of you have been to the islands above and have any tips, please do share them with me! Also if you have any specific requests of things you’d like me to cover about the trip in a blog post, let me know in a comment 🙂
And you better believe I’ll be singing ‘Gonna Wash That Man Outta My Hair’ from the movie South Pacific every time I have a shower, haha.
