A Sunny & Healthy Lunch at Coast, Port Beach.

The sun was shining brightly, and aside from the sea breeze whipping off the coast, it was a pretty beautiful day. Hannah and I both had a couple of hours to spare over lunch, so we decided to head to the newly opened Coast on Port Beach to see what all the fuss was about. And I sorta lied about our lunch being healthy...we had a side of beer battered chips.

A Day Out in The Hills at Lesmurdie Falls, Perth.

It was a Wednesday and Anna and I were both at a loss for what to do with the day. It was 28 degrees, but a little too windy and late in the day for the beach (you really need to go in the morning before the sea breeze comes in). Eventually we decided on visiting the beautiful Lesmurdie Falls up in the Perth Hills for a little photoshoot...

My Top 7 Nightclubs and Bars in Dubai.

Yep, I'm back again to tell you all about my favourite nightclubs and bars in one of the world's biggest party cities. Last month I treated you to My Top 5 Nightclubs in NYC, and now...well, now I have a Top 7 for you, because it includes bars and nightclubs and not just clubs. Also there are just so many amazing bars and clubs in Dubai it was super hard whittling it down to just a few! This is my last post from Dubai and the Middle East, after this one it'll be aaaaaall Australia for a while hehe, so grab a glass of champagne and let's start the day off right...

A Mouthwatering End at Zuma, Dubai.

For my last Saturday night in Dubai, Nigel and I did yet another bar crawl, and then ended up very merry at Zuma. It was a totally spontaneous decision - we both realized how hungry we were after a few too many cocktails, so decided to go somewhere neither of us had been before (in London or Dubai) - Zuma. The famous Japanese restaurant group with high-end but informal restaurants in major cities across the world.

A Day Trip to Zaya Nurai Private Island, Abu Dhabi.

Zaya Nurai Island is one of the most luxurious private island resorts in the Middle East. But did you know you can go just for the day on one of the UAE's popular 'day pass' rates? While I was in Dubai, Nigel was obsessed with going to this island. So Gohei and I humoured him and said we'd go along with him on the Sunday I was there to make him stop talking about it. This actually did the opposite, because it was so amazing that all three of us couldn't stop talking about it when we returned, and even now, over a month later, we're still messaging each other with cries of 'TAKE ME BACK!' every single week.

Highest Restaurant in the World: Dining at Burj Khalifa, Dubai.

If you'd told me a year ago that I'd be dining 122 floors up at At.Mosphere, the highest bar and restaurant in the world, I wouldn't have believed you. But as always things eventually fall into place, and after months of planning, I was finally in Dubai enroute to starting my Australian Adventure 2.0. Myself and Laura were visiting Nigel, who we both used to work with in London, and so one evening after a particularly epic day at Zero Gravity, we were all a little peckish and in need of some food. After a quick phone call we were on our way to the Burj Khalifa...the tallest building in the world.

Luxury in 48 Hours: Muscat, Oman.

Oman is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to, and out of the 35 countries I've now visited, it had some of the friendliest and most welcoming people. I spent a short 48 hours in Oman, and got a small taste of what the country is like and what the highlights are. This guide is perfect for those of you who are stopping over on business or pleasure, and don't have a lot of time to see this vast and stunning country.

Hotel Review: Shangri-La Al Husn Resort, Muscat.

I try not to write negative reviews on Lux Life as I want it to be a place of positivity and the best things I've experienced. However I feel like this one needs to be written as I really don't want anyone else making the same mistake I did, and my experience at the 5* Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah in Muscat, Oman, was possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Staying there is my biggest regret of my entire 10 day trip to the Middle East.

Luxury in 48 Hours: Doha, Qatar.

Just like Dubai I'd been wanting to visit Doha for years, ever since I almost had the chance to have a stopover in the capital city of Qatar years back when I flew to Australia with the national airline. My Dad wouldn't let me go by myself, so that trip got scrapped. I've learnt since then though just to ignore him, if I didn't ignore him I wouldn't have been to BudapestNew YorkPoland, Cuba, UAE, Qatar, or Oman! They're all too dangerous apparently. Tch. Rubbish. Anyway, Doha is a pretty quiet city, but we managed to find some awesome things to do!

Hotel Review: Shangri-La, Doha.

It took us forever to get through immigration at Doha airport. Qatar is a fairly conservative country, so I made sure I covered up every inch of skin in a loose high-necked maxi dress and cardigan, but even so I still stood out like a sore thumb with my blonde hair and pale skin. Everyone else in the entire immigration queue was either Arabic, Indian, or a white businessman. I was the only woman with my hair on show, and the only blonde person in the entire immigration hall. It was a strange feeling, but after answering a load of questions from the immigration officials, we were finally let in and we were on our way to the stunning Shangri-La Hotel!

My Top 7 Makeup Products for Eczema Prone Skin.

As many of you will know if you've read My Struggle With Eye Eczema, I've suffered from eczema on my eyes for several years. Since I was a baby I've suffered with eczema on my body (usually on my wrists, crook of my elbow, and behind my knees), but when I was around 14 years old I also started getting eczema around my eyes. It coincided with me experimenting and using a fair amount of skincare and makeup products, and over the past few years I've been on the hunt for organic and natural makeup products that I can use on my face that don't flare up or irritate my skin. So, I thought I'd share them with you...

A Belated Lux Life September Update.

I was gonna write this on the plane on my way to Dubai, but the wifi was super slow on the plane so I gave up and now all of a sudden it's November and I'm like 'say whaaaat?'. Srsly. How is Christmas NEXT MONTH?! Anyway, my September was crazy busy because I obvs made the move back to Australia on the 29th (with 10 days in the Middle East inbetween 29th Sept and 10th Oct), so September was spent seeing friends and family as much as possible, and ticking off the last few things on my 'London Bucket List'...

Mirage Melbourne Cup Lunch at Crown Perth.

Just as a little break inbetween all of my Middle East blog posts, I thought I'd tell you all about an event I went to yesterday! I've been in Perth over three weeks now, and I'm gradually getting back into the swing of things and getting myself into a little routine. The Melbourne Cup in Australia is huuuuge, and despite going to Royal Ascot most years and coming back to Australia regularly, I'd never actually been to a Melbourne Cup event before, mainly because it's been eight long years since I was last in Perth in October/November when it all happens.
