Sunday in the Stream.

Sunday afternoon my family and I drove down the road to the little village of Shere. It's a beautiful village and one of our favourites in the area, it's lovely to go for a wander and have a drink in The White Horse pub on a summer's eve. We took Dylan with us, and as soon as he saw the water he ran towards it and leapt in. It was boiling hot and standing on the bank watching him splash around in the cool stream was torture, eventually I couldn't take it any more so jumped in after him!

We spent ages playing in the water and on the riverbank; mum and I threw sticks for Dylan then watched him leap into the water to fetch them. It was hilarious watching him chase them down the stream trying to grab them, and at one point he was so desperate for his stick he put his whole head under the water to try and get a grip on it!

When Dylan had had enough splashing in the water and just wanted to sit and chew on his stick, we walked down to the pub and sat in the front garden with our drinks people watching and just watching the world go by. It was pure bliss being back in the countryside after living in London for the last 3 weeks, and it was the perfect relaxing end to a wonderful weekend of festival-going.

What did you get up to over the weekend?

  1. So cute!
Taking dogs to the water is so adorable, my dogs are lazy piglets that don't like swimming, so I thoroughly enjoyed these!
