Inter-Club Christmas Ball at the Savile Club 2012.

Saturday night was the annual Inter-Club Christmas Ball at the Savile Club. You may remember from last years post that last year the ball was held at the Lansdowne Club, and featured a delicious meal, a luge, casino tables, and a fab DJ. This year was much more ‘civilized’, with a four course meal prepared by the Savile Club’s in-house Michelin starred chef, and a jazz band to dance to until the early hours of the morning.

I wore a burgundy dress that was actually my bridesmaid dress for my besties wedding back in March – I thought the colour was very festive!
The Savile Club is one of my favourites clubs in clubland, it’s so incredibly beautiful! It’s just a shame it’s men only, otherwise I’d absolutely love to join! Sadly I didn’t get any photos of the food, the lighting was really dark and I couldn’t get any good shots, but it was delicious. We had salmon and quail egg for starter, then lamb for main, white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee (amazing!) for dessert, and a cheeseboard, before coffee and chocolates.

After dinner we all headed downstairs for dancing! The jazz band was one of the jazz bands we all love from the Savage Club. The jazz bands’ at the Savage Club are fab and they’re always great fun, so us girlies had a wonderful time being thrown and swung around by the men on the dance floor!
Doing the Charleston!

After far too much dancing, J and I decided to get some air…by sitting on a windowsill and hanging our heads out. I think we had a bit too much champagne…
After a wonderful time at the ball we got a taxi to VQ for the standard 3am meal and tucked into burgers and chips. We had the normal burger, however, the guys next to us had the ‘Super Burger’, which includes two patties, fried egg, chilli con carni, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and numerous other things!

The following day we were supposed to go to the RAC for a session in the Turkish baths…however, we woke up very late so just went for a festive afternoon tea instead! I’ll do a post on that very soon so keep an eye out 😉 I’ll also put the professional photos up as soon as I get hold of them!
