A Burger and Prosecco Afternoon Tea on the Kings Road.

I’ve had a fair few traditional afternoon teas over the years, but these days I avoid them unless they’re fun and interesting. So when I heard about an afternoon tea in Chelsea that combined two of my favourite things; burgers and prosecco, I knew I had to try it! I informed my partner in crime and best friend of 21 years of the date and time, and she met me at BRGR.CO on the Kings Road for our epic feast!

We started with the prosecco, and before we knew it our huge trays of food arrived. We each had a mini-milkshake, mini-fries, three burger sliders (that were actually quite large), and two small desserts (a choc brownie and a lemon tart).

The mini-burgers included a chicken burger (my fave), a prawn burger, and a normal beef burger. We found the burgers a little on the dry side, and they could have really done with a decent amount of sauce, but aside from that they were really tasty!

After scoffing the prosecco, burgers, and fries we were then brought a refreshing glass of lemon iced tea, and started on the desserts and milkshake. The brownie was incredible, so rich and so moist (ugh, hate that word). The lemon tart was my fave though, I loved the tangyness and it tasted super refreshing.
We were so full, but the staff insisted on us trying their ‘Rio’ burger, which was inspired by the Olympics. I could only eat a quarter of it, and we felt awful for leaving half of it. But I’m definitely gonna go back in the next week or so and eat a whole one – it was SO good!

It was made out of spicy chorizo blended into a Blade Steak patty, a fried egg, caramelised onions, Monterey Jack cheese and crunchy onion rings, with a side of chilli-spiked mayo. It was honestly delicious and I was devastated that I couldn’t finish it.

We loved our alternative afternoon tea at BRGR.CO (just add plenty of sauce to the burgers), and I’d suggest it to anyone who isn’t the biggest fan of salmon sandwiches and tiny pastries!

What’s the most interesting afternoon tea you’ve ever had?

Looks and sounds yummy! It's always great finding an afternoon tea with a twist! Think I may have had to have added a normal sized milkshake on the side as I'm addicted to them! Lol….

Interesting tea! I think my most unusual was an afternoon 'tapas' laid out like afternoon tea with pastries but with Middle Eastern style tapas on the first layer. The Rio burger looks good!

I love the afternoon tea here! So quirky and delicious. We went around Christmas time a couple of years ago and we got mini mince pies too 🙂

Ha I'm not a fan of the word moist either! BUT anything that involves burgers is a win for me xx

This place looks absolutely amazing! I don't go to London very often, but maybe I should make a special trip just to visit this place 🙂
