James Bond Ball’in.

Last week was the James Bond Ball at my club, the Royal Overseas League, to celebrate the upcoming release of the new 007 film, Spectre. I’d been looking forward to this event for months, and it didn’t disappoint! It was great because there were so many of my friends there, and everyone looked amazing!

I’d had this image in my head of the dress I wanted to wear, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Finally I found a dress that half-resembled what I wanted, from Rare London. The top half of it is exactly what I was looking for, right down to the loose sleeves with the tight wrists. Although the bottom half wasn’t exactly what I wanted, I actually ended up falling in love with it.

I decided to go for the after-dinner part rather than the full evening, as it meant I could go home after work and drive back up in time for 9pm. Although this meant I couldn’t drink, it did mean that I could dance the night away and not have to worry about getting the last train home.

I arrived and after drooling at the Aston Martin parked outside the entrance, I quickly found my friends who were also there for the after-dinner part. The rest of our group were still eating dinner, so we were all given glasses of champagne while an excellent trio of musicians played the songs from the James Bond films.

The three Catherine’s…and Emily lurking in the back 😉

How awesome is Chris’ 007 parachute getup?!

Soon we were whisked through to the Princess Alexandra Hall for dancing. We spent hours dancing and had so much fun! Anyway, I’ll leave you all with the photos…(photos are a mix of mine, Sid’s, Alex’s, and Catherine’s).

I love how Catherine #2 (there are three of us Catherine’s, I’m #1 obvs) just photobombed Ben and I, haha!

We ended the night in 151 on the Kings Road. Standard.
