Earlier this week the girls and I headed down to M Restaurant in the City, to check out the new #GoldCelebration photobooth. The #GoldCelebration photobooth is a collaboration between Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and iconic fashion photographer John Rankin Waddell, aka, Rankin. Myself, Laura, Katie, Melanie, and Helen had a lovely evening full of cocktails and food, lots of laughter and chatting, and a lot of golden photobooth action. And we even bumped into Jasiminne and Henry too!
When we arrived we tested out some cocktails and delicious nibbles (helloooo chicken wings!). The cocktails were special Johnnie Walker cocktails, I tested out the very strong and festive tasting Christmas Spice, and then the Johnnie Walker Flower. The Flower was my favourite by far – it was so sweet and drinkable!
The stylish black and gold photobooth was designed by Rankin himself and launched in September at the Venice Film Festival. The photobooth is part of a European campaign by Johnnie Walker to find Europe’s new rising star to appear in an online campaign for Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve.
To enter the competition you have to take a photo in the booth, upload it to instagram, tag it #GoldCelebration, and then Rankin will pick the winner who will be photographed by him as the new face of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve.
Sounds pretty good, right? So where do you find the photobooth? Well it’s been travelling all around Europe since September, popping up in various bars, clubs, and restaurants, and the campaign finishes in February 2015. This month the booth is in London at M Restaurant in Bank, so just head along and ask for the photobooth, and the lovely staff will direct you downstairs.
