I got the Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover a while ago, and despite the rave reviews all over the blogosphere, I hate this product. Yes, it's great for getting nail polish off quickly, but it also has its downsides.
The main issue is spillage. Despite the whole point of it being perfect for on the go, it's actually very easy to spill. The pot contains a sponge soaked in nail polish remover, you dip your nails one by one into the sponge, twist a few times, and the nail polish is removed. All was well, until one day I was twisting, and all of a sudden a huge load of nail polish remover flew out of the pot and into the bathroom sink. Now, if that had been carpet, it would have ruined it. Thankfully it was just the sink.
The second issue is that the nail polish remains in the pot after you've used it. I don't know about you, but I think this is quite unhygenic? I hate the thought of dipping my nails into that now blue sponge again, when it's full of old nail polish... :/
Thirdly, I don't think it is actually that 'quick', you can't just dip and twist once, you have to spend some time twisting a few times before the nail polish is off. And lastly, because you dip your fingers into the soaked sponge, your fingers are then soaked and covered in nail polish remover! Aghh!
Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?
