MUA Palettes and Lush Face Mask.

MUA Eyeshadow Palettes

I've spoken before about my love for the MUA palettes, but have never done an actual review of them. I have the Heaven and Earth, Starry Nights, and Undressed, and love them all! Before I got these I had never had a palette before, just the 'trio' sets...and I had never ever experimented with colours and blending/shading etc...I always used to just use one shade.

Heaven & Earth (above) and Starry Nights (below)
Since getting these palettes I've been practising constantly, and I'm pretty happy with the results! The various looks you can gain from them are amazing. The Heaven and Earth is perfect for day time, and Starry Nights perfect for night! And then of course Undressed is great for both. The pigmentation is fantastic in all of them, and very build-able.

My only dislikes are that I wish they had more matte shades, as many are shimmer or glitter. It also really annoys me that the fall-out is quite bad, and all of the MUA shades leave a black residue in the crease of my eye, which is difficult to blend away. But for just £3 or £4 for each 12 shade palette, you can't reeeally complain!

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask

I am in LOVE with this face mask! The Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask is one of the fresh face masks from Lush, so has to be kept in the fridge, and is only supposed to be used within a couple of weeks...but mine lasted a month and was completely fine! It goes on to the skin really well, it's very thick and creamy (kind of mud-like...but in a nice way) and has blueberries in it. I piled it on each time I used it and it lasted me five goes, it feels absolutely amazing on because it's cold. I much prefer cold face masks to ones at room temperature!

I left mine on for about 20minutes, and when it had dried it did become very flaky and bits of it crumbled and fell off really easy, which made a bit of a mess, so I suggest using it when you're in the bath just to be on the safe side (plus, it makes you feel way more relaxed and pampered!).

So, did it work? Yes. As soon as I rinsed it off my skin was silky soft and the redness on a couple of blemishes had disappeared. It's definitely worth buying, and even though it's £5.95 for a 75g tub, seeing as I got five uses out of it and it actually works, I think it's well worth the money!

Have you used any of these products? What are your views on them?

    1. Yes, it's so hard to blend out isn't it! I wish I knew why the residue thing happens!

  5. Might try that face mask. :) I tried the chocolate one once but it was too strong smelling for me. lol

My only issue with lush is that it gives me sensory overload. All those smells all mixed together. Argh!

  7. I love love love MUA palettes too, I have so many! Undressed and Heaven and Earth are my favs altho I love adding a pop of colour from the pastel one or glamour days to my inner corner or lower lash line. I wish there were more matte shades too, altho the ones they do have aren't too pigmented I find xx
