The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Official Parade 2012.

Day three of my Jubilee weekend was spent in the ticketed seats outside Buckingham Palace – wooo! I entered the ballot for the Parade tickets on Tuesday 5th June 2012 a while ago, not expecting to get any, and I got some! I got two, so my mum and I went. The tickets were all fancy, and made us feel special…
We got up to central super early (we drove of course), and queued up with the rest of London (the queue stretched from constitution hill all the way ’round past the Ritz!), but it was so worth it! The seats were amazing, we had the perfect view of the balcony and the road where the carriages would be going.
We saw the cars leave Buckingham Palace for St Pauls, and then we had a long wait for them to return, and we weren’t allowed to leave the area, but thankfully they had a food village there (which my mother and I got a bit too excited about), so we got a bacon roll each and some chips to keep ourselves occupied.
They also had lots of bands going ’round, which kept us thoroughly entertained! We the saw the carriages, the balcony and the fly-past.
It was an incredible day, the atmosphere was out of this world, and I felt very proud to be British! I got very emotional when the Royal family came onto the balcony and the entire crowd were cheering, waving their flags and singing. A day I will never forget.
Enjoy the photos..

The sight on the huge screens…it was actually quite scary seeing that amount of people on the screen and knowing they’re coming straight for you!

Me in the rain with my flag. I had like five layers on…hence the gained 20 pounds look!

We were all doing a Mexican Wave and then cheering when it was done successfully – then we noticed that curtains being pulled back and The Royals staring out of the windows watching us! We cheered every time the curtains were pulled back – it was a lot of fun, and all very exciting!

The balcony doors are opened…

And there is The Queen! God Save the Queen!

The Royal Family – Camilla, Prince Charles, The Queen, Prince William, Kate, and Harry.

That famous wave…

The incredible sea of red, white and blue! Proud to be British.

Oh look, a plane!

The Red Arrows

The most beautiful sight – The Red Arrows flying over Buckingham Palace and thousands of Britons waving their flags.
So that concludes my Jubilee Weekend trio of posts! What did you all get up to?
